Elevate Magazine is a student-run publication dedicated to culture, fashion, and the arts. Elevate Magazine’s mission is to stimulate the minds of our communities, promote a love of culture, and share a desire for creative expression. Alongside this mission, we strive to acknowledge and spotlight academic and extracurricular accomplishments within our community. Elevate acts to lower the division between marginalized groups and create solidarity between our respective communities. 

The publication will accomplish this mission by creating a magazine showcasing arts and culture within the ethnic minority population in the Virginia Tech community. The publication will include creative and journalistic writing, photography, all art forms, and graphic design. Alongside the publication is a blog consisting of writers from minority communities on campus. The blog’s content ranges from social commentary to lifestyle content. Participants of Elevate are encouraged to devote themselves to creative expression and authenticity. 

Creatives of all trades have a place in Elevate including writers, artists, photographers, videographers, graphic designers, models, and makeup artists. Alongside creatives, business and publicity professionals also have a place in Elevate Magazine.
